Obituary of Martha Osuch

Martha Ann Osuch (nee McGinnis) Age 51. At rest Monday, December 10, 2007 at home with her family at her side, following a valiant battle with cancer. Martha was born in Winona, MN, and was a resident of Joliet for the past 13 years. She was a graduate of Eastern Illinois University, and received her Master of Arts Degree at St. Xavier University, in 2006. Employed as a sixth grade teacher for the New Lenox Grade School System; Martha was previously a sixth grade teacher in Freeport, IL. Member of the New Lenox Teachers Association, I.F.T. and A.F.T.; member of Holy Family Catholic Church; and a school board member at Holy Family Grade School. Surviving are her loving husband, Norbert Osuch of Joliet; her children, Lauren, Kelly, Jeremy and Christopher; grandchildren, Bradley, Benjamin and Christian; parents, Alfred and Maureen McGinnis of Winona, MN; three sisters, Kate McGinnis of Santa Monica, CA, Colleen (Donald) Taylor of St. Charles, IL and Maggie (Andy) Walsh of Preston, MN; three brothers, Dennis McGinnis of Lawrenceville, N.J., Jim (Sally) McGinnis of Crystal Lake, IL and John (Beth) McGinnis of Cedar Rapids, IA; numerous nieces, nephews, colleagues and dear friends also survive. Preceded in death by one brother, Mike McGinnis (1978). Visitation for Martha Ann Osuch will be Thursday, December 13, 2007 from 3-9 p.m. and Friday, December 14, 2007 from 3-7 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home. As it was her request, Cremation Rites will follow visitation. All friends and relatives are invited to meet on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 600 Brookforest Avenue, Shorewood, for a Memorial Mass at 10:30 a.m. Inurnment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, IL. Memorials in her name to the American Cancer Society or Masses would be appreciated. Arrangements by: FRED C.
