Obituary of Collette Vogrin

Collette J. Vogrin (nee Stonich) Age 98, of the Inn at Willow Falls in Crest Hill, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, March 18, 2008. Born in Joliet, February 13, 1910 to the late Joseph and Justine (Kraker) Stonich, she was a Joliet resident until she moved to the Inn at Willow Falls in 2004. Survived by her son and daughters, George R. (Shelby) Vogrin, Carol (Edward) Kijowski, and Judith (Buckley) Singletary; loving grandmother of 11 and great-grandmother of 24; one brother, Bernard (Shirley) Stonich; one sister-in-law, Marie Speckman; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by her husband, George A. Vogrin; sisters, Elizabeth (Orville) Sippel, Helen (Leo) Malinowski, Genevieve (Robert) Kerr, Marie (Lyle) Bundy, and Bernadine Stonich; brothers, Frank (Trudy) Stonich, Donald (Kathy) Stonich and Joseph (Thelma) Stonich. Life Member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and a longtime member of Topps. The Vogrin Family would like to thank the staff at the Inn at Willow Falls and Vitas Hospice for their loving care and compassion. Funeral services for Collette J. Vogrin will be Monday, March 24, 2008 at 10:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. John Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment St. John's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to Vitas Hospice, 600 Holiday Plaza, Matteson, IL 60443, or St. John's Church would be appreciated.
