Frederick Michael Whitmer "Freddie" Age 52. Saturday September 1, 2007 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Born and raised in Joliet, relocating to Arizona 30 years ago, returning to Plainfield in 1993. Graduate Plainfield High School. Formerly employed by the Santa Fe Railroad in Joliet, Glendale, AZ and Winslow, AZ. An avid hunter, fisherman and Sportsman. Surviving is his loving mother, Dorothy (Nicholson) Whitmer of Plainfield; seven brothers and sisters, Marilyn J. (Tracy) Payne of Crest Hill, Melinda L. Miller of Oak Brook, Maureen G. (Jerry) Dembski of Belleville, WI, Jonathan B. (Martha) Whitmer of Mesa, AZ, Melissa K. (Richard) Koren of Minooka, Marsha L. (Richard) DeSalvo of Plainfield and Mary Beth (Jaime) Palco of San Leon, TX; beloved uncle of 14 and dearest great uncle of two. Freddie walked to the Lord by the hand of his father, Frederick Morley Whitmer (2007); also preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Bruce Whitmer (1955). At the family's request, private funeral services will be held. NO VISITATION. In lieu of flowers and cards, memorials in his name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
