Obituary of Thomas Cleaver

Thomas Cleaver "TC" Age, 61. Suddenly Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center with his family by his side following complications from an undiagnosed heart condition. Born in Joliet and a lifelong Joliet and Rockdale area resident. A graduate of Joliet West High School and Rockdale Grade School. Retired owner/operator over the road truck driver. "TC" loved life. If you asked him what his nationality was, he would respond by indicating "Rockdalian". He enjoyed living life, getting on his Harley and riding. Sturgis was a familiar and annual destination since 1983. It wasn't just the ride, it was the people he met wherever he went. One of "TC"'s favorite sayings: "Are you gonna ride all day? See neon, pull in!" Did we mention Miller Lite was his favorite? He was a kind and generous man and was always there when you needed him with a smile on his face. He touched so many lives and for those of us who knew him the best, are damn grateful he was in ours. He loved to cook, watch Nascar, and was a Cubs fan, and loved Brian Piccolo. Preceded in death by his mother, June (nee Lucky) Cleaver. Survived by his loving and devoted wife, Carol Faye Cleaver; one son, Dylan Keal Cleaver of Rockdale; one daughter, Martina Rose Neese of Southern, IL; his father, Dean (Monika) Cleaver of Shorewood; one sibling, Scott (Judy) Cleaver of Joliet; one aunt, Lois McNally of Joliet; his "goofy" mother-in-law, Pam Heseltine of Earl Park, IN; also survived by all of his Road Dawg Brothers, and you know who you are! "Peace, Love, Dove" A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Cantigny VFW Post 367, 826 Horseshoe Drive, Joliet, IL. from 3-10 p.m. As "TC" requested, cremation rites have been accorded with final interment to take place at a later date in Spearfish Canyon, South Dakota. "TC" thought it was the most beautiful place on Earth. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice in "TC"'s name would be appreciated. Fred C. Dames Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. For information 815-741-5500.
