Obituary of Ruperto Troy Opalia

Ruperto Troy Opalia Age 43, of Romeoville, IL, died suddenly Wednesday, June 22, 2016. He was born February 16, 1973 in the Phillipines to the late Carmencita Laruga and Triumpo Opalia. Beloved husband of Juhlia Decena; loving and devoted father of Joshua, Jaden and Jordan; dearest brother of Rowena Opalia, Regina Lammers, Victor Opalia, Ericka, Aura and Noel Laruga. Many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and his in-laws also survive. Preceded in death by his Mother. Troy was employed as a Shipping and Receiving specialist, a dedicated employee of Amerisource Bergen the past three years. He created with his hands, often putting things together after taking things apart. He was a fan of Star Wars Characters and was never without the music he loved, which included 80's rock and Filipino tracks. Funeral services for Troy Opalia will be held Monday, June 27, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Romeoville, IL. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 26, 2016 from 1:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
