Obituary of Sharon K. Parker

Sharon K. Parker (nee Whitaker) Age 76, of Channahon and formerly of Joliet, died peacefully on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home with her loving family by her side. Born October 3, 1939 in Owasco, MI to David A. and Dorothy L. (nee Pucel) Whitaker. She enjoyed crafting, sewing and Bingo. Loving mother of Lori A. Vaughn of Gardner, IL, Jeffery T. McQuen of Channahon, IL, James J. (Laurie) Parker, Jr. of Hobart, IN, and Jerry L. (Janet) Parker of Pharr, TX; proud grandmother of 13; dear great-grandmother of 25; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Charles (Sharon) Whitaker; two sisters, Nancy (Richard) Yudzentis and Mary (Dennis) Bogart; and aunt of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, James (2008); and her parents. Funeral Services for Sharon K. Parker will be Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet to St. Ann Catholic Church, Channahon for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
