Obituary of Naomi K. Kunkel

Naomi K. Kunkel (nee Peterson) Age 68. Peacefully passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Hinsdale Hospital with her family by her side. Born in Morris, IL to the late Ernest and Mildred Peterson. Attended Morris High School. Naomi married Richard Kunkel of Newark at Immaculate Conception Church in Morris on April 27,1968. She resided in Newark all her married life. Survived by her loving husand, Richard Kunkel; three children, Kevin (Tara) Kunkel, Lisa (Jeff) Jacobson and Todd Kunkel; seven grandchildren, Taylor, Karter and Tanner Kunkel, Rachel and Corey Jacobson, Brooklyn and Morgan Kunkel; one sister, Luanne (David) Ferguson of Morris; one brother, Byron (Raelene) Peterson of California; sister-in-law, Doris (Harry) Strum of Loves Park and several nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded by her parents and one brother, Mervin Peterson. Funeral services for Naomi K. Kunkel will be Friday, October 21, 2016 at Newark Lutheran Church, 101 E. Liberty Street, Newark, IL 60541 at 10 a.m. Pastor Luke Emerson to officiate. Interment Fox River Cemetery, Seneca, IL. In lieu of flowers memorials to Newark Lutheran Church in her name would be appreciated. Visitation Thursday at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W.
