Leslie F. Cooper (nee Abbott) Age 54. Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 surrounded by her loving family at her home. Born in Oak Lawn, IL. Residing in Plainfield the past sixteen years. Graduate of A.A. Stagg High School, Palos Hills class of 1980. Leslie loved cooking, entertaining and gardening. Most of all, spending quality time with her family and friends. Survived by her loving husband of 19 years, Mitchell T. Cooper of Plainfield; two daughters, Ashlee and Stephanie Simon of Plainfield; her mother, Loretta (Drew) Abbott-Drish of Oak Brook; one brother, Jim (Sandy) Abbott of New Lenox; two sisters, Cheryl (Ron) Weissenhofer of Naperville and Nicole (Michael) Kamper of Joliet; her mother in law Jill (the late Thomas) Cooper of Chicago Ridge; sister in law of David (Laurie) Cooper of Michigan and Julie (Michael) Cook of Orland Park; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her father, James Abbott (2001). Funeral Services for Leslie F. Cooper will be Friday, November 4, 2016 at 9:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black (at Essington Rds.) to Holy Family Catholic Church, Shorewood for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Private family interment.
