Obituary of Martin J. Castillo

Martin J. Castillo Age 72. At rest November 20, 2016 at home in McDonough, GA surrounded by his loving family. Born October 1, 1944 in Joliet, IL to Guadalupe and Polina (nee Mendoza) Castillo. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War, Army SP4 (T). Retired from the Army/Air Force Exchange Services. He enjoyed spending time with his children, going to the mountains, and camping. Survived by his children; Alec, Evan, and Maya Castillo; siblings, Jose (Jimmie) Castillo, Vera Ramirez, and Albert (Petra) Castillo; and sister-in-law, Eva Castillo. Preceded in death by his parents; his siblings Luz Calcanas, Anthony, Fabiol, Guty "John", Raymond, Rudolph, Salvador, and Frances Castillo; brother-in-laws, Marco Calcanas and Joseph Ramirez; sister-in-laws, Marguerite, Alice, and Jeanne Castillo; uncle of many nieces and nephews. Memorial Gathering for Martin J. Castillo will be on Monday, November 28, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until time of prayers at 11:00 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery with full military honors under auspices of the U.S. Army. As it was Martin's wish, cremation rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to the family would be appreciated.
