Obituary of Denice Rae Miliotti

Denice Rae Miliotti Age 64, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 26, 2016, at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home with her family by her side. She was born in 1952 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. She received an associates degree in nursing from Joliet Junior College in 1985. Denice served as a nurse at Silver Cross Hospital along with other medical facilities throughout her career. Some of Denice's passions included serving others in her church, using her creative talents to bless others, quilting, sewing, refinishing furniture, working in her garden and riding her Harley. Survived by her loving husband of 24 years, Steve Joseph Miliotti; mother, Virginia Chase; father, Ray (Cleta) Harrelson, son, Larry (Brenda) Garner; grandchildren, Abigail (Daniel) Eberhard, Kyle Garner; sister, Debbie Hicks; and brothers, Dennis (Aurora) Harrelson, Mike Chase, Darren (Laura) Harrelson. Denice's family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center, JOHA and Joliet Area Community Hospice Home for their compassionate care. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the Blu Petroleum Family, and doctors and staff at Presence St. Joseph Cancer Center, the 5th Floor nurses at St. Joseph Medical Center, and Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Without your help, we could not have traveled this road. Funeral services for Denice Miliotti will be held Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at 9:45 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Roads, Joliet, to First Assembly of God, 1741 Essington Road, Joliet, for services at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, Denice would ask that memorials be directed to Presence Cancer Center (JOHA) or Joliet Area Community Hospice.
