Joseph L. Preboy, Jr. "Joe" Age 94. At rest Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Born in Joliet and a lifelong New Lenox area resident. A WWII U.S. Army Veteran serving with the 78th Signal Company. Retired from Olin Chemical in 1986 after over 30 years of service. Preceded by his parents, Joseph L. and Emily (nee Pisut) Preboy; one brother, Daniel Preboy; and five sisters, Mary (James) O'Sullivan, Helen Preboy, Agnus Vrencur, Ann (Joseph) Chopp, and Theresa (James) Seeley. Survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Lois (nee Mauer) Preboy; three brothers, Robert Preboy, Benedict (Beatrice) Preboy, Lawrence (Colleen) Preboy; two sisters, Margaret (Russell) Gossen and Eleanor Boyd; sister-in-law, Bonnie (Carmen) Chellino. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral Services for Joseph Preboy will be held on Tuesday January 17, 2017 at 12:00 Noon at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet, IL with Fr. Robert Basler officiating. Entombment Resurrection Mausoleum where full military honors are to be conducted under the auspices of the United States Army.
