John R. Farcus, Jr.
Age 78. At rest Monday, January 23, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born July 15, 1938 in Joliet, IL to John Farcus, Sr. and Bertha (nee Simpson). Retired from Caterpillar as a break press operator with 30 years of service. He enjoyed race cars, bowling, fishing, hunting and he also coached little league baseball in Morris and Channahon. John was a member of the American Legion Post #294.
Survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Lorraine F. (nee Hakey) Farcus; children, John H. (Jane) Farcus, Tina (Harry) Hedrick, Jr., Tammy (Tom) Paulsen and Richard (Tasha Ybarra) Farcus; grandfather of 15 and great-grandfather of 20.
Services for John R. Farcus will be Monday, January 30, 2017 at 12 Noon at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Route 6 (at Deerpath Drive) Morris. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery with full Military Honors under the auspices of the United States Army. Visitation Monday 10 a.m. until time of services at 12 noon.
