Obituary of Marie C. Tonelli

Marie C. Tonelli (nee Dantino) Age 96. At rest Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Atria El Camino Garden in Carmichael, California. Born to Louis and Giacinta (nee Egizio) Dantino. Marie was a resident of Joliet most of her life. She was a volunteer at St. Joseph’s hospital for 27 year which was an activity that brought her great joy. A member of Holy Family Catholic Church for 57 years. Her faith was an important part of her life. Her hobby and passion was sewing. A source of pride for her which she received awards and accolades for her work. She encouraged her children to read and taught them to love words. She enjoyed cooking for her children and grandchildren and loved to share her recipes. However, her favorite food was ice cream. Surviving are her children Janice (Bob) Ahders of Carmichael, CA and Ken (Debbie) Tonelli of Pensacola Beach, FL; three grandchildren, Holly (Brian) McKain, John (Shannon) Tonelli and Braden Tonelli; two great-grandchildren, Baily Tonelli and Madison Land; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Mario L Tonelli (2011); one sister, Nicolette Sallase; and one brother, Jerry Dantino. Funeral Services for Marie C. Tonelli will be held on Monday, March 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet, IL. Fr. Chris Groh officiating.
