Obituary of William D. Postema

William D. Postema Age 70. Passed away peacefully Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center. Born in Chicago and a resident of Joliet the past 12 years. Retired from Treadroc Tire Company in 2016. A United States Army Veteran and an avid NHRA fan. Survived by his step-daughter, Cindy (Alan) Greenberg of New Lenox; two grandchildren, Robert and Jenny. Preceded in death by his parents, Gerrit and Rosella Postema. A Memorial Gathering will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until time of Military Honors under the auspices of the United States Army at 8:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet As it was William's wish, Cremation Rites have been accorded.
