Obituary of Generoso Ramos, Sr.

Generoso Ramos, Sr. "Cruz" Age 84. Peacefully Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Ceneter following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Puerto Rico, he was a lifelong Chicago area resident before retiring to Joliet 15 years ago. Generoso was the ultimate handyman if there was a project he was able to get it done. His favorite past time was spending time with his family and friends and especially his beloved grandchildren. Preceded by his parents; one son, William Ramos (2000); one brother, Nadivda Ramos (2015); and one sister, Lola Ramos. Survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Ana A. (nee Natal) Ramos of Joliet; one daughter, Annabell Natal of Chicago; three sons, Richard Rodriguez, Generoso Ramos, Jr., and Jonny (Patti) Ramos all of Joliet; 5 grandchildren, Natalia Perkins, Lindsay Ramos, Nakeira and Nakaeima Rodriguez, Tony Natal; and one brother, Cleo (Sonya) Ramos of Lake Station, IN. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services for Generoso Ramos, Sr. will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet, IL. Intermet Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.
