Obituary of Patricia Diane Cross

Patricia Diane Cross Age 65. Suddenly at rest on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Born May 16, 1951 in Chicago, IL to the late James and Lucille (nee Hester) Nelson. Retired in 2015 from Jefferson Middle School in Aurora, IL as the school's principal with 9 years of service. She enjoyed her career and was the first to arrive and always willing to stay late. Patricia was an avid Chicago Blackhawks and Chicago Cubs fan. Survived by her daughters, Megan (David) Silski and Katie Certain; grandson, Carter Silski; brother, Randall (Deb) Nelson; niece, Kaylie (Gordon) Molitor; and nephew, Michael Nelson. Family and friends may gather on Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 12:00 NOON to 4:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Cremation rites to follow visitation.
