Milford L. "Birch" Leach

Age  91, of Morris, IL, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Park Pointe Healthcare and Rehab Center. He was born March 11, 1926 to the late Amanda (nee Sorem) and Gordon R. Leach, Sr. in Mazon, IL where he was raised and educated, attending Mazon grade school and graduating with the class of 1944 from Mazon High School.

He was the beloved husband of the late June (nee Lewis) Leach (2007) whom he married June 2, 1973.  In addition to his wife and parents, he is also preceded in death by two brothers, Gordon Jr. "Bud" (Dorothy) and David Leach; one sister, Esther ( the late Lawrence) Jackson.

Surviving are his sister, June (Robert) Elam of Morris, IL; one niece and seven nephews.

Birch retired in 1987 from AP Green after 42 years of faithful service. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Mazon #826 AF & AM.  He enjoyed working in his yard, socializing with the neighbors and being a cub fan.  In his younger years he liked to fish, especially the boundary waters in northern Minnesota.
