Obituary of Sue Kielian

Sue Kielian, age 93, a long time resident of Channahon, passed away peacefully, Friday, June 16, 2017 at St. Joseph Village, Chicago, where she made her home the past five years.

Born January 25, 1924 in Joliet, she was the daughter of Vasil and Maria Jubera, and was a graduate of Joliet Township High School, Class of 1942.  She worked at the Joliet Arsenal, and was later employed as a secretary for many years for Economics Lab.

Sue was an active and faithful member of St. Ann Catholic Church, Channahon, for over 30 years, and will be remembered for her strong faith.  She enjoyed polka music and playing bingo, but her greatest joy was being actively involved in the activities of her family, especially all the grandchildren.

Surviving are her two sons, Gerald G. (Galey) Kielian of Plainfield, and Robert C. (Jacky Walther) Kielian of Chicago; her grandchildren, Michele (Don) Beck,  Kevin (Jennifer) Hray, Ashley (Scott) Shinick, Jordan Kielian, Patrick Kielian, Ann Kielian and Teresa Kielian; four great-grandchildren, Nathan and Taylor Beck and Emma and Samantha Hray;  one sister, Theresa Woods; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Kielian (2002); her parents; an infant daughter, Barbara Jean Kielian; and seven brothers and sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Sue Kielian will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at St. Ann Catholic Church, 24500 S. Navajo Drive, Channahon.  Interment will be private.  Visitation will be held Tuesday, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Fred C.
