Otilia Herrera Martinez

At the age of 83 at rest peacefully June 29 2017 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Otilia was born December 8, 1933 in Mexico to Antonio and Elpidia (nee Martinez).

Survived by her 13 devoted children Amedeo (Irma) Gallarzo,  Juana(Luis) Blano, Genaro (Araceli) Gallarzo, Lucio Gallarzo, Sacramento (Luzhilda) Gallarzo, Antonio (Maria) Gallarzo,  Maria ( Victor) Herrera, Javier (Irene) Gallarzo, Guadalupe (Maria) Gallarzo , Elida (Maximiliano) Herrera, Rocio (Luis) Herrera, Elva (Jose) Gutterrez, Silverio (Liliana) Gallarzo.  She was the grandmother of 31 cherished grandchildren, and 16 precious great grandchildren; siblings Antonia Herrera and Trinidad Herrera.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband Amador Gallarzo (1990) and daughter Griselda Gallarzo (1973).

Funeral services for Otilia Herrerra Martinez will be held on Monday July 3, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black at Essington Rd. Joliet to St. John the Baptist Church, 404 N. Hickory St. Joliet, for Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
