Obituary of Henrietta Lynch

Henrietta Lynch, age 95, late of Plainfield, and formerly of Melrose Park, passed away peacefully, Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Lakewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Plainfield.

Henrietta was born October 11, 1921 in Edinburgh, Scotland, the daughter of David and Henrietta (Fraiser) Ross.  She married William B. Lynch, and they were married 71 years until his passing on February 25, 2011.

Henrietta loved her church, Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Melrose Park,  and was active in church functions and served as a Eucharistic Minister.  She worked for several years as a produce clerk for Dominick's Grocery Store.  She was a devoted wife, faithfully caring for her husband throughout his final illness.  She was also a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She was always available to help anyone in need, and was a woman proud of her Scottish heritage.

Surviving are her children, Maureen (Mario) Zullo of Plainfield, and Clark (Valerie) Lynch of St. Charles; five grandchildren, William (Brenda) Zullo Sr., Wendy (Al) Gonzalez, the late Jim Lynch, Mario D. (Meghan) Zullo, and Brian (Jody) Lynch; and ten great-grandchildren, Jennifer (Jon) Gutierrez, William (Kaitlin) Zullo Jr., Mario S. Zullo,  Tiffany (David) Lewis, Jimmy Lynch, Brendan Zullo, Cameron (Alyssa) Gonzalez, Elizabeth Zullo, Skye Lynch, and Paisley Lynch.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers, and two sisters.

Funeral services for Henrietta Lynch will be held Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 10:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Roads, Joliet to St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, 15629 S. Route 59, Plainfield, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.  Visitation will be Tuesday morning from 9:00 to 10:15 a.m. at the funeral home.
