Michael R. Budzinski
Michael R. Budzinski passed away on Tuesday August 1, 2017 at Sunny Hill Nursing Home of Will County at the age of 81. He was born on July 27, 1936 in Joliet to the late Michael M. and Anna (nee Billy) Budzinski. Mickey was a lifelong resident and attended Joliet Township High School. He retired from U.S. Steel, was formerly employed by the Diocese of Joliet and a former member of the Joliet Antique Auto Club and SOAR. Mickey enjoyed coffee and breakfast with his friends, The Green Bay Packers and cruise nights.
He is survived by his loving wife, Diane (nee Russ) Budzinski; his loving son, Michael A. Budzinski; his loving daughter, Michelle M. Budzinski all of Joliet; his sister, Alice (the late Albert) Russ of Crest Hill and he was a brother in law of Mary Ann (the late Dr. Carl) Gregorich of Joliet; Kay (Jerry) Whiteley of New Lenox, Linda (the late Peter) Sartori of Joliet and Joan (the late Anton) Russ of Joliet, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Dorothy Jadron-Nikonchuk and Lorraine Butler; sisters-in-law, Gertrude (Ronald) Shroba and Lucy (Jerry) Pagorski and his brother-in-law, Richard J. "Zeke" Russ.

Funeral services for Mickey Budzinski will be Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. NOON at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorials in his name to Friends of Sunny Hill or Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
