Obituary of Joyce V. Crowe-Bernardi

At the age of 90, Joyce V. Crowe-Bernardi passed peacefully at her home in Morris, IL.

Born to Mario and Alice, she was raised in Roseland (later relocating to Tinley Park).  She married William (Bill) Crowe and they had three children Michael, Janet (Alejo) Poveda and Michelle (Chuck) Phillips.  Survived by her children, grandchildren, Laurie Crowe, Nicholas and Sean Phillips; great grandchildren Crystal, Sabrina, Kameron and great great grandchildren Jenna, Isabella and Amelyah all of Wisconsin; nieces Valisa (Larry) Hanlon  and Stephanie (Shan) Omar.

 Predeceased by her brother Charles Peri (Cynthia).

Joyce was a loving, supportive mother and grandmother, outstanding cook, world traveler with a zest for life, and had a personality that lit up a room. She will be missed beyond words.

Joliet Hospice staff Shirley and Jen for their compassion and care and to Fr. Ed Howe of
Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for the visits and prayers.

Funeral services for Joyce V. Crowe-Bernardi will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery (meeting at the office at the main entrance) 6001 W. 111th Street, Alsip, IL with Fr. Ed Howe officiating. As it was Joyce’s request, cremation rites have been accorded.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Joliet Area Community Hospice or the Good Shepherd Manor in Momence, IL in her name would be appreciated.  Arrangements entrusted to the Fred C.
