“Buda”
Frank LaBuda, passed away unexpectedly at age 51, Monday, September 11, 2017 at Silver Cross Hospital following an undiagnosed respiratory condition. Born in Joliet, and a lifelong Rockdale resident, he was a graduate of Rockdale Grade School and Joliet Catholic High School, Class of 1984. Frank was a member of the Teamster’s Local # 179, and a truck driver for P.T. Ferro Construction Company for over 21 years. He was formerly employed at Harrah’s Casino, Homer Tree Service, EcoLab, and in his early years, Syls Restaurant. He was a man of many talents. Frank was a member of both the Dale Athletic Club and the “DH” Motorcycle Club. He enjoyed being out on the open road on his Harley with his friends. Frank loved and lived his life on his own terms. He worked hard, loved hard, and played hard. Frank could fix or build anything and he was a true friend to hundreds. There was no one with a bigger heart than Frank “Buda” LaBuda. Frank loved his kids, grandkids, family, friends, his truck and his motorcycle.
He was preceded by his father, Raymond LaBuda (2011).
Frank is survived by his son, Tadd LaBuda; his daughter, Beckie (Bobby) Karlin; three grandchildren that he referred to as his babies, Dominic, Gianna and Ellianna Karlin; and his loving mother, Lynn LaBuda all of Rockdale. His brother, Tim (Renee) LaBuda; one neice, Kelsey, his god daughter; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends also survive.
Funeral services for Frank “Buda” LaBuda will be Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1329 Belleview Ave., Rockdale, IL. As it was Frank’s request, cremation rites have been accorded. Friends and family may gather at the church for a sharing of memories from 11:00 a.m. until the time of his Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the LaBuda family to be used in accordance with their wishes would be appreciated.
