Henry Joseph Brusatori

Henry J. Brusatori, age 76, at rest on Monday, October 16, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer.  Henry was born on September 25, 1941 in Joliet, grew up on the South Side, and attended Eliza Kelly, Washington Jr. High and Joliet Central High Schools.  He worked at National Tea grocery store before joining his aunt and uncle at Clover Farm Grocery on Jefferson St.  In 1987, he and his wife became owners of Maichin’s Food Mart until it closed in 1993.  Following that, Henry enjoyed several store management and regional oversight positions with Pet Supplies Plus until his retirement.  He was an avid golfer, accomplishing two “holes in one” at the Joliet Country Club.  Henry enjoyed his time with family and many friends on the course.

He is survived by his children, Mary Fran (Andy) Tomac and Paul Brusatori; grandchildren, Alyssa (Paolo) Vinzon and Bryan Tomac; and great grandchild Maverick Vinzon. A special thank you to all of his devoted and cherished friends including Pat and Kathy Kerr, Jim Klancher, Fred and Debbie Hayes, Al and Pat Benson, Norma and “Duke” Dutkiewicz, Dr Gary Voyce and Joe Turk.

Henry was preceded by his beloved wife of 46 years, Mary Fran (nee Hermanns) Brusatori (2009); his parents, Joseph (1990) and Flora Mae (1996) Brusatori, sister; Gloria Jean (1968) and brother, Matthew (2004).

Funeral services for Henry J. Brusatori will be Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet to the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m.  Enshrinement will be at Resurrection Mausoleum.  Memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.  Visitation will be held Friday from 3:00-7:00 p.m.  For more information, please call (815) 741-5500 or visit his Memorial Tribute at www.fredcdames.com
