Obituary of Elmer D. Cremer

Elmer Dyonis “Dutch” Cremer, age 86, late of Paw Paw, and formerly of Joliet, passed away peacefully at home, with his loving family by his side on Friday, October 27, 2017.

Born March 22, 1931 in Joliet, he was the son of the late Dyonis “Dutch” and Teresa (nee Stukel) Cremer, and served in the United States Navy during the Korean War.  Dutch was a proud member of Local #161 as a cement finisher, and later enjoyed being an independent home builder.  In his free time, he was an avid golfer.

Dutch will be remembered as a loving husband, a devoted and caring father, and a dear grandfather, brother and uncle.  

Surviving are his beloved wife, Bonnie (nee Bilan) Cremer of Paw Paw; his daughter, Kendra (Matt) Young of Oswego; three grandchildren, Lucas (Melissa) Young, Teryn Young and Nathan Young; one brother, Henry (Jeannie) Cremer of Plainfield; one niece, Lisa Smith; two nephews, Paul (Tiffany) Cremer and Kurt (Zoe) Cremer; and eight great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services and visitation for Elmer “Dutch” Cremer were held privately at the Fred C.
