Barbara A. Witchell

At the age 86 the good lord called a wonderful, kind and compassionate person to her heavenly home on Friday, October 27, 2017. It could be said that she loved so much that following the loss of her dear friend and companion Robert L. Woodard, that she died of a broken heart.  She was born May 4, 1931 in Dallas, TX the daughter of Charles and Rhoda (nee Morris) Witchell.  Barbara was a correspondent for United Press International in Havana, Cuba and later an editor of the Pilot Magazine in Washington, D.C.

She was preceded in death by her dear friend, Robert L. Woodard.

A private funeral service for Barbara A. Witchell was held as she had requested. Cremation Rites have been accorded. In accordance with both her and her friend Bob’s final wishes her final earthly remains will be buried together at the Mt Vernon Cemetery in Catlin, Illinois.  Funeral arrangements and final instructions entrusted to the Fred C.
