Dolores Marzec

Age 85, of Plainfield, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center.  She was born August 31, 1932 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Joseph and Henrietta (nee Piazza) Geraci.  Dolores retired in 2005 from the Cook County Sheriff’s Department with 23 years of service and was a realtor with Century 21 for 8 years.  Her hobbies included fishing, watching the Chicago Blackhawks and Chicago White Sox, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Sam (Sue) Teresi, Joseph (Sharon) Teresi, Michael (Paty) Teresi and Gina (Frank) Skrip; brothers, Salvatore (Maureen) Geraci and Chuck Geraci; her grandchildren, Sam, Tom, Matt, Christina, Vinny, Angela, Joe, Mike, Amanda, Nick, Anthony, Dominick, Gianna; four great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her parents; sisters, Leona Spoto, Harriet Nuzzo, Maryann Copia; and brother, Joe-Joe Geraci.

Funeral services for Dolores Marzec will be held Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 9:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet, to the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus, 604 N.
