Angelo R. Campanale

Age 88, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 11, 2017 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center, with his loving family at his side.  He was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II.  Angelo’s hobbies included cooking, reading and traveling.  He retired from Levitz Furniture, California, in 1991, and was a 4th Degree member of the Bolingbrook Council #967, Knights of Columbus.  

Angelo is the loving husband of 58 ½ years to Theresa L. (nee Grimes) Campanale; loving father of Peter, Naomi, Anthony (Karen), Barbara (James) Svantner and Victor (Paula); devoted Nonno of eight; loving brother of Catherine (the late Alfred) Kolbe, Luigi (Carol) Campanale, Marie (James) Vancura and the late Anthony (the late Jean) and Dolores Campanale; and was the uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Angelo R. Campanale will be held on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 9:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet, IL, to the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus, 604 N. Raynor Ave., Joliet, IL, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip, IL.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., at the funeral home.    For more information, please call 815-741-5500 or visit his Memorial Tribute at www.fredcdames.com
