Shirley Mae Hoffman
(nee Berard)

Age 87, of Crest Hill, IL, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2017 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center, Joliet, IL.  She was born September 25, 1930 to the late Paul and Lila (nee Sanders) Berard, in Joliet, where she was raised and educated.  Shirley attended St. Raymond Grade School and Lockport High School.

Shirley was a longtime member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church.  She retired from Panduit in Romeoville, and was previously employed for many years at JE Messenger in Joliet.  Shirley was a past President of the PTA at Richland Grade School in Crest Hill.  Her hobbies included traveling, bingo and camping, however, nothing was more precious to Shirley than the moments spent with family.

Beloved wife of 68 years to Donald Hoffman; loving mother of Donna Robinson of Joliet, IL; dearest grandmother of Shawn Robinson of Arvada, CO, Kevin (Nicole) Robinson of Aurora, IL and Christy (Michael) Wilson of Minooka, IL; proud great-grandmother of Kylie and Owen and Liam and Caden.  She is also survived by two brothers, Raymond (Norma) Berard and William (late Reva) Berard; sister-in-law, Shirley Berard; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her parents; two brothers, Ronald (late JoAnn) and Edward Berard; and sister-in-law, Reva Berard.
