Jeffrey M. Olson

Jeffrey M. Olson passed away suddenly, Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at home.  He was born in Evergreen Park, IL, residing in the Plainfield area since 2001 and was a graduate of Marist High School in Chicago, Class of 1978.  A proud U.S. Air Force Veteran honorably discharged at the rank of Staff Sergeant.  Jeffrey was a loving husband, father and grandfather who was an outstanding provider for his family.  He enjoyed reading, movies and spending time at the lake house with his family.  A loyal fan of Chicago sports, he was especially devoted to the White Sox, Blackhawks and Bears.

Surviving are his loving wife of 21 years, Renee (Tatar) Olson of Plainfield, his three sons, Michael, Brian and Nicholas Olson; his granddaughter, Kara Olson; his mother, Arlene (Slota) Olson of Tinley Park, IL; his brother, Scott (Lynette) Olson of LaSalle, IL; his sister, Cathy (Jerry) George of Okemos, MI and many nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded by his father, James Olson (1987).

Funeral services for Jeffrey M. Olson will be Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet.  Interment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL, where full Military Honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Air Force and Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery Memorial Squad.  Visitation will be Tuesday, from 3:00-8:00 p.m.  For more information, please call 815-741-5500 or visit his Memorial Tribute at www.fredcdames.com
