Arlene A. Knarr
(nee Offermann)

Age 89, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018, at Sunny Hill Nursing Home.  Born in Joliet, to the late Fredrick and Ida (Hartung) Offermann, she was a lifelong resident.  She retired from Illinois Bell Telephone in 1990.  Arlene was devoted to her family.

Surviving are four children, Debra Austin of Princeton, Steven Knarr of Joliet, Daniel Knarr of Joliet and Karen (Richard) Parks of Braidwood; grandmother of Andrew (Brittany) Austin, Erin (James) Morrison, Margaret (Phil) Ernst, Stephanie Parks, Samantha Parks, Nicole Parks, Lauren Knarr, Jacob Knarr, Ashland Knarr and Tristan Knarr; and great-grandmother of six.

Preceded by her husband, Jack Knarr (1986); her parents; son, Jeffrey Knarr; siblings, Donald Offermann in infancy, Robert Offermann, Marian Stafford, Richard Offermann.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 16, 2018, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church, 706 N. Broadway Street, Joliet.  As it was Arlene's request, cremation rites have been accorded.  Inurnment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery will follow.  Family will receive all friends and relatives from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass.  Memorials in her name to Juvenile Diabetes Association or Friends of Sunny Hill would be appreciated.  Fred C.
