Obituary of Adeline F. Hornik

(nee Bernasek)

Adeline F. Hornik passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at the Symphony of Joliet. She was born in Chicago, the daughter of the late Anton and Bessie (Polanka) Bernasek.  A resident of Lemont for 30 years, living in Joliet the past 20 years, and most recently at Senior Star of Romeoville. Adeline was a sweet, kind person who enjoyed her friends and family.  Beautiful flowers were her passion.

She was the loving wife of 67 years to James Hornik, Jr., of Romeoville; dearest Aunt of Carol (Orville) Bates of Channahon, and Karen (Dennis) Belcher of Mesa, AZ.  Numerous great nieces and great nephews also survive.

She was preceded by her parents; and her brother, Anton (Mildred) Bernasek.

Funeral services for Adeline F. Hornik will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Roads, Joliet.  Interment will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.  Memorials in name to the Joliet Easter Seals would be appreciated.  Visitation will be Tuesday morning, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 10:30.  For more information, please call (815) 741-5500 or visit her Memorial Tribute at www.fredcdames.com
