Robert W. “Bob” Swenson

On Friday evening, February 23, 2018, Mr. Robert W. Swenson died peacefully, under the care of Joliet Area Community Hospice at The Parc of Joliet.  

Bob was born February 21, 1958 to the late Nelda (nee Holt) and Richard Swenson in Dallas, TX.  He was a longtime Joliet area resident.

He was the beloved husband of the late Penelope nee Ciofalo (1999); loving father of Doug (Rachel) Swenson and the late Jackie Swenson; proud grandfather of Penelope and Walker Swenson.

A graduate of Joliet Junior College, Bob was formerly employed as an IT specialist. He also was a mechanic and enjoyed working on cars.  Other interests included fishing and visiting the shooting range.  Bob was a strong-willed, resilient man with cunning humor who always enjoyed having a laugh.

As it was Bob’s request, cremation rites have been accorded.  In lieu of flowers memorials in his name can be made to Joliet Area Community Hospice.  Fred C.
