Dwaine L. Rodgers
“Doodle”

Age 72, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 11, 2018, at Silver Cross Hospital, New Lenox, IL, surrounded by his loving family.  Dwaine was a member of the Lockport Moose Lodge #1557 and a life member of the Ingalls Park Athletic Club.  He enjoyed his grandchildren and was very proud of all of their accomplishments.  Dwaine loved spending time with his family and friends.  He will be deeply missed by many.

Dwaine is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Linda (nee Beallis) Rodgers; two sons, Ken (Anne Gariboldi) Rodgers and Scott (Sara Bullock) Rodgers; seven grandchildren, Lucas (Nicole Carlson) Rodgers, Jacob (Lara Mary Kinkin) Rodgers, Jessica (Sam Boeckman) Rodgers, Natalie Rodgers, Jennie Rodgers, Elizabeth Rodgers, and Matthew Rodgers; and nine siblings, Edward (Bonnie Lyons) Rodgers, Louis (Judy Mork) Rodgers, Cathy (John) Colonna, Penny (the late Ted II) Nardin, Steve Rodgers, JoAnne Anderson, Jim (Marie Martin) Rodgers, Myrtle Boex, and Bill (Angela O’Brien) Rodgers.  Numerous nieces, nephews, friends and extended family also survive.

He was preceded by his parents, Stephen “Buster” and Josephine (nee Loetscher) Rodgers.

As it was Dwaine’s request, cremation rites have been accorded.  A Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday, March 18, 2018, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet, with a Memorial Service at 4:00 p.m.  Rev.
