I have truly been blessed to have known Jodi these past 10 years. She and my sister Penny are the same age and knew each other so we had that connection. Jodi's and my birthday were two days apart. We were both part of a sewing/quilting group that met every Friday. This group was special to all of us. When it was our birthday we would bring a treat for everybody. Since Jodi's and my birthday were only two days apart we would bring something for the group together. This last May, I told Jodi I would bring a homemade carrot cake. Jodi was unable to attend that Friday, so I saved her a piece. I will miss Jodi and celebrating our birthdays together.

I met Jodi as a very young girl. We were neighbors. I spent a lot of time with her and the family. Jodi was who influenced me to homeschool my children many years later. She also showed me what a mom did for her family at home. It seemed to come natural to her. I won't ever forget the times spent with her and the kids. Her folding laundry while we played and always a smile on her face and a song from her mouth. The way she would wake us up...ding ding ding ...lol Her grilled cheese sandwiches were the best!! I can picture her house ( Culver st) like it was yesterday... She had a way of making you feel right at home. She shined Jesus also! I'll never forget her <3 it seems way to soon, but I know where she is sitting now and that gives me great comfort. My love and condolences to Barry and all the kids..I love you all <3

Jodi was my friend for 45 years. During that time we went to church together, raised our children, and eventually welcomed our grandchildren together. Jodi always talked about her loving husband Barry with humor and love. Barry and Jodi were meant to be. The love they had for each other and family was a bright star. Jodi never judged people she always found the best in everyone. She also loved the Lord and was open to share her love and the word of God. I am so thankful I was able to know and love her. I wish we had another 45 years together, but that was not meant to be. Love you Jodi!
