Dave worked for many years for Lindblad Construction. He was a member of Laborers Local 75. He served as a union organizer for the Chicago Laborers District Council until his retirement in 2009. He was a faithful parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet where he went to grade school and served mass. He was also a long time member of the Joliet Rivals Club. He was an avid gardener growing a bountiful garden that fed his neighbors, family and friends. He loved being a comedian at family and friend gatherings and was also known as a real prankster as he enjoyed people and life. He was also quite the handy man repairing cars, building much of his own home, helping his sons with their homes as well as repairing almost anything that was broken. They called him “Mr. Fix It.”
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 44 years, Karen Terdic, three great sons Matt (Stephanie), Andy and Chris. Sisters and brothers Bob (Carol) Terdic, Dick (the late Leona) Terdic, Mary Ann (the late Tom) Schreiber, and Kathy (Frank) Riley. Twin grandchildren Madison and Caleb Terdic.
