Joshua Steven Anderson
Joshua S. Anderson, age 47, passed away at his home surrounded by the love of his family on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. Josh was born in Oak Park, IL on April 4, 1979, the son of Mark Anderson and the late Lisa Anderson (nee Wehrheim).
Josh was a simple man who found his greatest joy in the people he loved most. His children brought him immense pride and happiness. He was a devoted fan of the Chicago Cubs, faithfully cheering them on through every season. He carried a lifelong passion for cars, especially his beloved 1987 Buick T-Type, which brought him immense pride and happiness.
Josh is survived by his wife, Nicole; children, Dylan and Paige; his father, Mark Anderson; brothers, Luke (Jennifer) Anderson and Jake (Kathy) Anderson; nieces and nephews, Keagan, Caden, Mason, Cora, Riley, and Warner; his mother-in-law, Mary Lou Kolinek, and sister-in-law, Cheryl (Joe) Britt. Many aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.
He is preceded in death by his mom, Lisa Anderson; father-in-law, Gregory Kolinek; and grandparents, Francis Anderson, and Catherine Wehrheim.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL. As it was his request, cremation rites have been accorded.
