Obituary of Nancy Sue Anderson
Nancy Sue Anderson (née Baker), age 83, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 22, 2026, at Serenity Estates of Morris, following a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease and diabetes.
She was born on July 28, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois. Nancy lived in both Illinois and Arizona before settling in Minooka, where she attended Minooka High School and met the love of her life, Andrew.
Nancy was a lifelong member of Minooka United Methodist Church, where she faithfully served as the church librarian. She also worked as a librarian for the Three Rivers Library System for 21 years, retiring in 2002. Nancy loved music, dancing, camping, and antiquing. She especially cherished attending her children’s and grandchildren’s activities and caring for the many beloved pets she had throughout the years.
She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Andrew; her three sons, Richard (Wendy) Anderson of Hollister, Missouri, Steven (Tammy) Anderson of Morris, and Clark (Jennifer) Anderson of Romeoville; and her beloved grandchildren, Aric (Becky), Kelli (Jason), Lily, and Copland.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Nancy’s name to Minooka United Methodist Church, Parkinson’s Foundation, or the American Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
Visitation for Nancy will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 11:30 a.m. at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Route 6 at Deerpath Drive in Morris.
