Janet Reynolds (nee Musica)
Janet Reynolds, age 87, passed away surrounded by love on Sunday, May 25, 2026 in LaGrange, IL. Janet was born in Chicago on December 13, 1938, the daughter of the late Leo and Jeanette (nee Brewer) Musica.
For Janet, family was everything. She believed that family was the heart of a meaningful life. Whether gathered around the dinner table, celebrating holidays, or simply sharing everyday moments, she found her greatest joy in being with those she loved the most. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Janet is survived by her daughter, Donna (Rene) Arellano; grandchildren, Lee Hopper, Jennica England, RJ Arellano, David Ducasse, and Dana Ducasse; great-grandchildren, Cameron England, Carter England, and Keelin Hoppe; her sister, Mary Musica, and nephew, Joey Musica.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Reynolds; her daughter, Debra Ducasse; her parents, and her brother, Jack Musica.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Visitation for Janet Reynolds will be held on Monday, June 1, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. Joliet, IL. Entombment will take place on Monday, June 1, 2026 at 2:00 p.m., at Mt. Olive Cemetery, 3800 North Narragansett Ave, Chicago, IL 60634.
