Beverly Jane Egly, passed into the arms of Jesus at the age of 94, on Saturday, June 6, 2026. She was born on September 19, 1931, the daughter of the late Royal E. and Marie E. (nee Farley) Davy. Born and raised in Joliet, Beverly was a graduate of Joliet Central High School. Married 65 years to her high school sweet heart, the late “Ray” Egly, together they built their family with love.

Beverly was a founding and active member of Stone Hill Bible Church, formerly Larkin Baptist. She was employed as the executive secretary to the assistant superintendent of School District 204 for many years.

Her family remembers her as being a fun loving, “eternal optimist”.  Always planning, organizing, and cooking, Beverly was fiercely devoted to her family. She rarely missed one of her grandchildren’s sporting or school events.

Beverly is survived by her children, Barbara (William Jr.) Reeves, Larry (Frances) Egly, and John (Jeanette) Egly; her grandchildren, Rebecca (Bill) Egner, Nolan (Ramona) Egly, Maria (John) Gelsthorpe, Will (Tanya) Reeves, John Ryan (Michelle) Egly, and Erin (LTC Daniel, MD) Roubik; her great-grandchildren, Spencer (Kyli Wheeler) Haney, Addison (Victoria) Haney, Donovan (Megan Sanico) Sontag, Kendall Sontag, Eric Egly, Jaycie, David and Joseph Gelsthorpe, Liam and Skylar Reeves, John Raymond, Catherine and Lucy Roubik; and her great-great-grandson, Theodore Haney.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John R. Egly; her parents, Royal and Marie Davy; her sisters, LeEtta (Richard) Carter, and Marie Elizabeth (Eugene) Kramer.

Visitation for Beverly Jane Egly will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet, IL, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Pastor William Reeves, Jr. will be officiating. Interment will follow at Elmhurst Cemetery in Joliet.
