

Obituary of Joseph F. McReynolds
Age 89, of Morris, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 8, 2026, at The Gardens at Park Pointe in Morris. He was born on November 15, 1936 in Joliet to Lucille McReynolds.
Joseph worked at Ceco Steel in Lockport before gaining employment with the Lockport Village Hall in the maintenance department. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating. Joseph was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and loved his Harley Davidson's over the years.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Lightways Hospice and Serious Illness Care and to the nursing staff at The Gardens at Park Pointe. Throughout the last five years, "Uncle Joe" made many dear friends and had wonderful staff providing him the best care possible.
Joseph is survived by his nephew, Dan (Lori) Cassidy; two nieces, Roberta (Jerry) Weiske and Peg (John) Hagerty; and six great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and his sister, Betty Louise Cassidy.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Joseph's name can be made to Lightways Hospice and Serious Illness Care.
Visitation for Joseph F. McReynolds will be held Thursday, June 11, 2026, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Route 6 at Deerpath Drive in Morris, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Inurnment will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Joliet, at 10:00 a.m. with full military honors held under the auspices of the United States Army.
