Larry L. Fields
Larry L. Fields, age 75, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 3, 2026 at Mercy Medical Center, in Aurora. Larry was born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky on June 20, 1951, the son of Vernon Fields and Jacqueline Smith.
Larry is a veteran who served in the Army from 1971 – 1973 and fought in the Vietnam War. After the service he spent several years as an over-the-road Truck Driver before he retired.
Larry is survived by his wife, Kathryn; his mother, Jacqueline Perrello (nee Smith); siblings, Connie (Ron) Harris, Sandra (Bob) Jandura, and Vicky (Everett) Butler; children, Kathleen Burman (nee Fields), Charles Fields, and Scott Fields; granddaughter, Victoria Hansen; great- grandchildren, Samuel Hansen and Elizabeth Hansen; many nieces and nephews whom he loved.
He is preceded in death by his father, Vernon; brother, Vernon Jr; sister, Joy; stepfather, Bill and great-grandson, Derek.
Visitation for Larry L. Fields will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at Hope United Methodist Church, 2506 Caton Farm Rd, Joliet from 1:00 p.m. until the time of Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m. As it was Larry’s request, cremation rites have been accorded.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Larry's name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
