Obituary of Cheyanne Autumn Yaiser-Fick
One special summer day on August 22, 1979, in Shawano, Wisconsin, Cheyanne was born into the world. She was the eldest sibling and daughter from her parents Melvin James Peters and Keona (Yaiser) Peters marriage.
With a heart of gold and resilient spirit she spent the majority of her 46 years of life care giving for others. On August 2, 2026, she was called home to be with our Dear Heavenly Father.
Cheyanne is survived by her husband, David Fick; son, Jonathon (Teegan) Torres-Yaiser; her daughter, Heaven Rose Yaiser-Kirk; and her grandson, Landon James. In addition, she is also survived by her step father, John Lewis; her sister, Ashley Sanapaw; her brother, Russel Peters; special friend Tonya Schmidt; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Anthony Corn; her sisters, Taylor and Brittnay Peters; her loving paternal grandparents, Wilmer and Gladys Peters; maternal grandparents, Martin Yaiser and Dolores Small; and her very special grandmother, Bernadine Lewis.
Forever and always Cheyanne will be remembered as a completely devoted, attentive, and fundamental pillar to her family. Her loyalty to those she loved deeply compared to no other. Her many family and co-workers can attest to her unwavering ability to show up and be there for them no matter what chapter of life they were going through, and that's what makes Cheyanne irreplaceable.
In her eyes, nothing held more importance to her than her children and she will forever be loved, honored, and missed.
A Visitation for Cheyanne Autumn Yaiser-Fick will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. in Joliet, from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. Per her request, cremation rites will be accorded following services.
