Obituary of Conrad W. Santoro

Conrad W. Santoro Age 79, at rest Monday, August 29, 2016 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center. Born in Chicago, most recently of Tinley Park, the son of the late Anthony and Filomena Santoro. A veteran of the U.S. Army. Formerly employed as a jeep driver where he met many good friends. He loved visiting with friends and family. An avid golfer, he loved the Bears and Blackhawks, but most of all he loved his children and grandchildren who will miss him deeply and will be remembered as the master joke teller. Survived are his three children, Ann (Joe) Formhals, Vince (Mary Ellen) Santoro and Michele Santoro; six grandchildren, Nicole, Kate and Tim Formhals, Kailee, Nick and Joe Santoro; siblings, Mary (the late Al) Webb, Carl (Carol) Santoro, Theresa (Charlie) Healy and Joe (Joyce) Santoro; numerous nieces, nephews and many good friends. Preceded by his parents; his wife, Rita Santoro (2015), one granddaughter, Jessica Formhals (1999); siblings, Rosie (Bill) Broderick, Nan (Les) Rutherford, and Jimmy Santoro. Funeral Services for Conrad W. Santoro will be Saturday, September 3, 2016, at 9:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Roads, Joliet, IL to the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Enshrinement at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or St. Jude Children's Hospital would be appreciated.
