Preceded by his parents, John and Frances Zlogar.

Survived by his loving and devoted wife of 61 years, Nancy (nee Smith) Zlogar of Joliet; three sons, John F. (Denise) Zlogar, Jr. of Joliet, Doug (Charlene) Zlogar of Sacramento, CA, and Brad (Danette Sartori) Zlogar of Joliet; one daughter, Sally (Bob) Bertani of Wilmington, IL ; one brother, Jim (Katie) Zlogar of Arlington Heights, IL; one sister, Sr. Joan Zlogar, O.P of Terre Haute, IN; four grandchildren, Mike, Jack, Christian and Dillon Zlogar; nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

As it was Jack’s final request, an intimate private gathering with his family was held and a Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus.  Interment services immediately followed at Mt. Olivet Cemetery graveside with full military honors conducted under the auspices of the United States Navy.  Arrangements entrusted under the care and guidance of the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home.  For more information, please call 815-741-5500 or visit his Memorial Tribute at www.fredcdames.com
