Darlene A. Boyle
(nee Fisher)

Age 78, of Shorewood, IL passed peacefully, yet unexpectedly, at home on Wednesday, March 14, 2018.  Born on February 17, 1940, in Joliet, IL, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Marie (nee Girot) Fisher.  She was an Administrative Assistant at Joliet Junior College from 1976-2013, retiring with 37 years of dedicated service.  Her hobbies included golfing with her Mulligans at Heritage Bluff, camping at Lake Pointe, gardening, and spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.    

Darlene is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Leo E. Boyle; children, Denise (Timothy) Heimer, Michael (Lisa) Boyle, Kelly Boyle and Sheri (David) Hughes; grandchildren, Eric Heimer, Nicholas (Jill) Heimer, Kyle (Stephanie) Heimer, Gabriel Heimer, Zackery (Juliet) Boyle, Ryan Boyle, Jack Boyle, Jeffrey Boyle, Alexander Johnson, and  Michael, Austin, Tiffani and Trista Hughes; eleven great grandchildren; and one brother, Donald (Karen) Fisher.  Many nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded by her parents and one brother, Bernard Fisher.  

Funeral services for Darlene A. Boyle will be held Monday, March 19, 2018, at 9:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet, to Holy Family Catholic Church, Shorewood, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  For more information, please call (815) 741-5500 or visit her Memorial Tribute at www.fredcdames.com
