Age 83, of Shorewood, IL, and formerly Chicago, IL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 18, 2018, at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home.

Beloved wife of Kenneth J. Michalczewski; loving mother of Robert (Ronda) Dranter, Denise (John) Moncada and Karen (Peter) Pasdach; dearest grandmother of Jeremiah Dranter, Jillian (Michael) Hermes, John, Joseph and Jason Moncada, Trisha (Michael) Kawi, the late Heather Pasdach and Justin (Brandi) Pasdach; proud great- grandmother of Autumn, Madalynn, Theresa, Haley, Anthony “AJ”, Dominic, Kayden and Dylan; three brothers-in-law, Quentin, Stan (Jeri), and Ray (Grace) Michalczewski; and several nieces and nephews, including John (Barbara) Bulanda and Sally Bulanda (Tony Zasowski).

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.

Jeanie was a retired Registered Nurse, who served over 23 years as an emergency room nurse, and was a member of Church of St. Jude.  She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and gardening, especially arranging orchids.  In her younger years, she had an appreciation for the majestic beauty of horses.  Through the ages, becoming a grandmother and great-grandmother gave her so much joy and happiness.
