“Chris”

Age 49, of Seneca, passed away on Monday, April 9, 2018, at Florida Hospital Celebration Health in Celebration, FL, following a 4 1/2 year courageous battle with cancer.  Chris was born in Morris, the son of Thomas and Bonnie (nee Fowler) Peterson, and was a lifelong resident of Seneca.  He was a graduate of Seneca High School, Class of 1986, and a graduate of Olivet Nazarene University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration.  Chris was employed as a Senior Reactor Operator for Exelon Nuclear LaSalle Station for over 25 years.  He loved Disney World, as well as vacationing in Jamaica.  His lifelong dream was to build a home on the water in Florida, a dream he fulfilled in February of 2018.

Chris is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Mary Ann (nee Andreatta) Peterson of Seneca; three children, Christopher Jacob "C.J." Peterson of Hoffman Estates, Lauren Peterson of Kissimmee, FL and Alexander Peterson of Seneca; his parents; one sister, Marcy (Brandon) Babcock of Germantown Hills, IL; two brothers, Michael (Lauryn) Peterson of Evanston and Matthew (Allison) Peterson of Seneca; his aunt, Mary Ann (Ron) Terry of Seneca; and his uncle, Terry (Judy) Fowler of Clearwater FL.  Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
 
He was preceded by his brother, John, in infancy.

As it was his request, private funeral services were held with interment at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Morris.  Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W.
