Obituary of Carole J. Blagg

Carole J. Blagg, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at Sunny Hill Nursing Home in Joliet, IL. She was born on April 23, 1934, to the late George G. Richardson and Helen N. (nee Rockett) Richardson in Joliet.  She also resided in Shorewood for a while remaining a lifelong area resident.

Carole loved to play games, especially bingo.  She enjoyed doing puzzles.  Having never met a stranger, talking to everyone she came in contact with, she had a wonderful sense of humor about her. She loved being a social butterfly, and wanted to share her love with all around her.

Carole was the devoted wife of 70 years to Robert G. Blagg; cherished mother to two daughters, Cindy (Gary) Gossen and Robin (Mike) Mikota; proud grandma of Jayme (Josh) Cameron, Bradley (Missy) Gossen, and Brett (Evie) Mikota; and great-grandma of Alex and Matthew Cameron, Karli and Kaden Gossen, and Maxwell and Jack Mikota.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Kevin Mikota; and brothers, George Richardson, James Richardson, and Ralph Richardson.

Visitation for Carole J. Blagg will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.), Joliet, IL, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 4:00 p.m.  Interment will be held privately by the family at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
