Harvey C. Kasky
Born November 6, 1931 - Died February 7, 2025
Harvey Charles Kasky, age 93, laid peacefully to rest at Lightways Hospice in Joliet, Illinois surrounded by his loving family. Harvey was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois before moving to Evansville, Indiana upon retirement from the Chicago Tribune. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Throughout his life he was a resilient man who fought and survived lung cancer. He was silent and stubborn with an amazing sense of humor and an unwavering love for his family.
Harvey is survived by his sons, Harvey (Jodi-Ann) Kasky and Wayne Kasky; six grandchildren, Sean (Amy) Odrowski, Christopher Odrowski, Jennifer (Derek) Erickson, Julie-Ann Kasky, Hailey Rose Kasky, and Kelsie Paige Kasky; two great-grandchildren, Jaxsen Zajac and Brooklyn Odrowski; and sister-in-law and dear friend, Shirley (Ryan) Kasky.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ellen (Miller) Kasky; his wife, Rosetta (Williams) Kasky; his daughter, Paula (Kasky) Westoff; and his brother, Frank R. Kasky.
The family would like to thank Lightways Hospice and Fred C. Dames Funeral Home for their kindness and expertise throughout these difficult times. A private funeral was held in Evansville, Indiana by Alexander Funeral Home.
